Real Wedding - Tia & Ed - Hodsock Priory, Nottinghamshire.

Tia & Ed had a beautiful August wedding that took place in a couple of different locations, the first being the stunning St Margaret’s Church, Marton and their reception was at Hodsock Priory, a beautifully restored historic home in the Nottinghamshire countryside. Their day was so full of sunshine, golden skys and so much happiness.

2nd August 2024

We started the day at St Margaret's Church and I arrived nice and early to grab some shots of guests arriving,  the epic groom and groomsmen, some pre-wedding hugs and the arrival of the beautiful bride.

Their ceremony was so lovely and traditional at their local church. I did my usual approach to church weddings which is to stand at the front but nice and far back so that I don't distract or get in the way! I love capturing the candid moments during the ceremony. The stolen glances, the holding hands and the last minute nerves. For the rings and the first kiss, I nip to the back of the room for those super cinematic shots! After all the legal bits were done and dusted it was time for those first hugs as a married couple, group shots and confetti!! The couple decided to go for getting as many group shots out the way and done with before everyone headed to the reception! So we smashed through those shots and everyone headed to the venue for drinkiesssss!

After a short drive we found ourselves at the gorgeous Hodsock Priory. This venue is so stunning and I was so excited to be shooting here for the first time. Tia & Ed's reception started with canapés and drinks and while everyone got settled, I used this time to snap those all important details, candids and natural moments.

We found a bit of time to do some extra group photos with the groomsmen and bridesmaids before heading in for speeches!

After speeches, everyone headed outside for drinks in the gorgeous summer sunshine! I love using this time to see if anyone wants any extra group photos, couple photos or snaps with friends!

When golden hour hit, it was time for myself, Tia & Ed to head out for couple portraits around the grounds of Hodsock.
