Real Wedding - Freya & Adam - Snape Maltings

Freya & Adam tied the knot at the beautiful Snape maltings, which sits on the bank of the picturesque River Alde. Snape Maltings is surrounded by a stunning landscape of water, reedbeds, and huge open spaces. As one of the most picturesque destinations on the Suffolk coast, it offers a truly unique setting for a wedding.

21st September 2024

Wedding Preparations started early in the morning at the on-site salon at Snape Maltings. I arrived at about 10am to capture the hair prep moments before we moved onto make-up & dress.

After hair was completed we headed over to the accommodation rooms for detail shots and makeup time! I absolutely loved that Freya did her own make-up! Arriving early before the ceremony always gives me time to get the behind the scenes moments, including all the accessories and pre-ceremony excitement!

I then had time to pop over to get some snaps of the groomsmen and Adam getting ready which was also on-site. I always love being able to capture both bride and groom prep!

After prep, it was time for the ceremony. Snape Maltings provided the most epic ceremony location - their world famous concert hall!! The moody and atmospheric backdrop made for such a beautifully intimate ceremony.

And then it was time for my favourite part of every wedding day.. the confetti!!!

Freya & Adam's reception started with a super cool champagne tower to kick start the celebrations. Followed by some delish canapés and a good old catch up with their nearest and dearest!

And whilst everyone catches up, it gives me chance to grab those all important details.

During the reception, we headed over to 'The Family of Man' sculpture by Barbara Hepworth for family photos with the arrival of a few fluffy guests!!

After group photos, we had loads more chill time for mingling. Whilst this is going on - I headed upstairs to prepare for the speeches!!

After some incredible speeches, we headed outside for some post-dinner drinks, the arrival of the evening guests and a few sunset family snaps!

Now time for my second favourite part of the day!! Couple portraits!! Myself, Freya and Adam headed off from the guests to go for 20 mins of their own photos. We started our session with a walk around the beautiful Snape Maltings grounds and finished by the 'The Family of Man' sculpture by Barbara Hepworth. It was such a beautiful sunset and the perfect setting for some stunning wedding photos.

After we finished our couple portraits session it was time for the cake cute, first dance and PARTYYY!!

After an hour of photographing the dance floor, it was time for me to head home! I said my goodbyes and had some hugs and off I plodded to bed with a smile on my face after a truly lovely day!
